Job Description

Senior React Native developers with the ACME General team will work closely with company leadership and clients to:

• Build front-end applications with Typescript, React Native, React Native Web, and GraphQL
• Contribute to the architecture and development of client and/or server applications, for external engagements and internal software projects
• Collaborate in the creation of software products that meet client and company needs for national security innovation acceleration

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of a senior React Native developer with the ACME General team include, but are not limited to, the need to:

• Design and develop robust UI solutions to hard problems considering scale, security, reliability, and cost based on functional designs
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to shape requirements, offering suggestions that meet business needs in a better way than described (faster/cheaper or more robust)
• Embrace our software development practices, tools, and frameworks, and also introduce and recommend new approaches, as appropriate
• Deliver needed project functionality for specific deliverables but deliver in such a way that the value is useful to the organization in the long-term
• Demonstrate a continuous-improvement mindset and commit to mastering our agile practices
• Contribute in a highly collaborative, team-first environment and communicate effectively
• Recruit, lead, and develop a team of talented engineers

Professional Experience/Qualifications/Competencies/Traits

A successful candidate for a senior React Native developer position with the ACME General team will possess most, if not all, of the following attributes:

• Experience with Typescript, React Native, React Native Web, and/or GraphQL to support front-end development
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering or software development
• Technology industry background with preference for experience in outsourced development and/or defense contracting
• Highly self-directed and motivated to take initiative
• Comfortable with ambiguity at the start, effective at driving towards certainty
• Understanding of the tenets of protecting client data as well as different techniques for authenticating and authorizing clients/consumers of service data
• Experience with GIT based source control solutions (e.g. Github, Gitlab), understand concepts such as rebasing, squashing, cherry-picking, and tagging
• Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to anticipate client and management needs and to ask well-crafted questions that generate meaningful insights
• Unwavering commitment to the highest standards of honesty and ethical behavior and a willingness to prioritize the needs of the client and team over the self when necessary
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work autonomously in the absence of constant oversight and direction
• 4+ years relevant work experience preferred
• Ability to hold a United States government security clearance
• US Citizen 

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Development experience on the Microsoft Azure platform
• Experience with Linux and/or ‘nix’ based OSs
• Some DevOps work, including experience with CI/CD tools
• Experience working with container-based solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of an Analyst with the ACME General team include, but are not limited to, the need to:

• Analyze, assess, specify, and prioritize client capability gaps 
• Develop expertise in specific start-up ecosystems by geography and/or subject matter
• Support the successful solicitation of viable solution proposals form early-to-mid-stage startups
• Analyze and assess proposed solutions 
• Facilitate efficient and effective client-start-up interactions from initial exploration through successful delivery of prototype-level solutions

Professional Experience/Qualifications/Competencies/Traits

A successful candidate for an Analyst position with the ACME General team will possess most, if not all, of the following attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering or computer or hard sciences (master’s degree preferred)
• Highly process-oriented with excellent analytical and quantitative skills and strong attention to detail
• 2-4 years of relevant prior work experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to anticipate client and management needs and to ask well-crafted questions that generate meaningful insights
• The willingness to advocate a viewpoint through active debate while also being self-reflective and receptive to feedback
• A relentless need for intellectual stimulation including a commitment to truth-seeking, a willingness to ask questions, and the intellectual honesty to admit when something is unknown
• An unwavering commitment to the highest standards of honesty and ethical behavior and a willingness to prioritize the needs of the client and team over the self when necessary  
• The endurance to sift through detailed and dense information and decipher the actionable data

• Prior experience working in or for the military
